Fussen – one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. More than 700-year-old town of Füssen (Fussen) are increasingly attracting tourists. The city is located in the heart of the Alps, well, and besides, its romance serves as a magnet those people who want to relax on weekends.
Kind of really impressive: the city framed by high peaks and mountain lakes, at an altitude of 800-1200 meters above sea level, is the highest town in Bavaria.
As if pictured by the artist’s hand, the medieval city center of Füssen rises high above the River Lech.
Different historical periods are meeting here, creating a harmonious ensemble. Fairy-tale castles, of course, attract tourists from all over the world, but in the town there is something what you can discover: Castle Fussen “Hohes Schloss” (High Castle), with the height of which, from a cliff with a magnificent view over the Old Town Füssen.
Or just walk around the old streets, by passing the neat houses, churches and monasteries …
Organize your a time for get acquainted with local nature, too! She is fabulous!
Forggensee, Hopfensee and Weissensee lakes, as well as a beautiful waterfall near the castle Lechfall Fussen – amazing natural spectacle!
Here the waters of the river Lech noise falls down and enter a narrow gorge Leh (Lechschlucht), which is locked in rocks on the river for thousands of years.
Of course, you can see a different museums in this fantastic town, and galleries too …
But honestly, in my travels just the very nature and spirit of the city are attractive me . Its quiet life with the rustle of leaves, covering the old walls and casts a shadow on the ancient cobblestones, its silence – no twisters guides and bustling crowds of tourists.
Therefore, about museums and galleries, I will not write here .
